Fuqdat – respin!

2015 respin goes off — with a BANG!

I’ve revamped the fuqdat website. Hopefully, this respin will encourage me to find the time to write more frequently. Although with Uni about to start-up again, this may be more of a dream than a reality.

The fuqdat respin is based on the WordPress Twenty Fifteen theme. I’ve had a quick check on a number of browsers and it seems to render perfectly. This respin uses a responsive theme and it looks good on my Samsung SG4 and SG5. I don’t have Apple or iOS so I can’t check it in those devices or browsers. If you do and notice any issues, drop me a line. I’d be interested to hear your views.

@BremnerClan and @SonyaIrving1 might notice that the missing functionality of <!--more But wait! There's more!--> returns and is now fully operational. Visitors will no longer be scurrying around in a flap, wondering what happened to the rest of the post.

Of course, this website respin makes all of yesterday’s work on colophon obsolete in some respects as I’m using Google Font’s now to import web-fonts into the code. Rendering takes a hit of course however, I’ve only used two fonts and we all know, good graphic designers never use more than three fonts anyway.

One annoying thing I notice in preview before publishing is the automatic hyphenation. I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand hyphenation. I’d prefer it to just shift the word to the next line. Guess I’ll be fiddling with the gizzards for a bit longer to figure out how to turn off that “feature”.

What do you think? Do you like the fuqdat Twenty Fifteen respin?

    • Thx. Do you know how I can connect this to yours? I’ll reblog your posts if you can give me a hint on how to do it.

      • I think you just hit thrlecre-blig button on my article you want to share. Not sure if that works between .org and .com though. Try it and see. There is a re-blog button in the top banner when you are in a post. Otherwise I guess it is URL links. And thanks!!

I tried replying to this via the Android WP app. Reply failed. But it notified me of your reply to my comment. Very strange.

Also, I tried first to reply to you via the Android WP app, but got “Reply failed”. App notified me of your reply, but would send one back. .org versus .com maybe?

Then I replied by pasting text into here in reply to you. That disappeared.

So this is in the main comment dialogue! I charge for testing!
